Something different.

Just started work. Another early today but this one is 5 - 2. Longer day but no 216s so thats a bonus. I have not done this one before. It starts with a 219 from stalybridge to manchester. This trip used to be done by hyde road until recently. After i get to ashton i do a 231 to town and back to ashton as another 219. Nice mix as i have not done either for a while. End the day with 2 on a 330 which i don't mind.

  3. The industry does have a high turnover of staff. Some people come into it thinking its easy money. But you also have to have a passion for it aswell. This is why the 80% that do over 2 years will be with the company for life.

  4. I applied for the apprenticeship programme, and was very impressed with the complete package of wages, training and travel.

I only discontinued it after pursuing University at the one place I was willing to study. Any other Uni and I would have carried on for Stagecoach. You never know though :)

Oh, or any 'S50 Fans'....the Free evening and sunday services are know charging as of this Sunday (13th June)...can't complain though.

  6. I heard the 239 was going one every two hours and the 392 was being withdrawn from October.

  7. Speaking of high turnover of staff, I suppose it depends on what kind of company you work for as I know some companies seem to manage to keep drivers for a while while others are always advertising for drivers

  8. I think alot of the smaller companies mangage to keep drivers longer than the big opps. For some reason they prefer working for smaller companies.
