I'm just waiting time out in town. I notice the road has been closed for roadworks and the 192 is currently picking up opposite our stand. I bet it's going to be hammered at 5pm down here. not sure which was it's going but the amount of 192s that leave at peak time will certainly not help with traffic around this part of town. The gardens are very busy too with the sun being out. Kids are playing in the fountain and the pick pockets are hovering about lol. Wouldn't like to be down here later on. I believe the road works are on for a few weeks too.
Enjoyed my wait for the metroshuttle and observed space issues between the 219 drivers and the Transdev Express drivers lol
ReplyDelete6 weeks I think but it won't be the last long diversion for the next 3/4 years
Far too many 192s- always have been! I used to catch the 192 from Hazel grove to Stockport town centre back in the 1970s. It was great for me then as I knew I would never be late for work as there were so many buses on that route. I am always surprised that there are still so many on that route.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because it's the quickest route between Stockport and Manchester, and many people use it after changing at Stockport. Also it serves deprived areas like Levenshulme and Longsight. The buses are usually packed, even during the day, so it's not like they're running them for fun.
