On the glossop late again tonight. I must say i was amazed to see fireworks in ashton tonight? Even more amazed that it was part of the christmas lights switch on ceremony? Isn't it slightly early? Anyway been very quiet tonight and i'm ready for my bed soon. Last trip then dead back to depot.
Fireworks. Think is the start of the Diwali celebrations. I caught some of it on my way home from the stock cars at Belle Vue tonight.

ReplyDeleteIkea had a few Christmas trees in the entrance in September.
Diwali is normally celebrated in October/November Sikhs and Hindus both celebrate this festival.
ReplyDeleteI photgraphed it for Tameside Radio news. There was a lot of dancing ect,all afternoon,then the Diwalli lights witch on at seven. Diwalli officially starts this Friday.
