The 810 is the Two Trees (in Haughton Green) school bus to/from Gee Cross, which I sometimes caught as a pupil at the school from 2001-06, when I lived in Gee Cross (though I would normally use normal public service bus due to idiots on the school bus - I feel so sorry for you drivers). I don't know who operates it now, it saw so many operator changes during my time at Two Trees.
Speedwell had an Optare Delta a couple/few years ago, which was scrapped after fire damage. They currently have 5 Solos and 2 Excels, neither look like the bus in the photo above.
The yellow Schoolbus is an Optare Delta and its actually a DAF and it can also be found regularly in Stockport running back to Belle Vues depot in the afternoon after dupilcating Bakerbuses 391 service
Other Excel at Speedwell is N608 JLY, a shorter one, still with a rather odd seating layout, but with buggy space at the front. I think the First "Deltas" you saw are Optare Prisma bodied Mercedes 0405s. Nice ride they are too. This reply may be too late for anyone to notice now, but here it is anyway.
My house is just a bit further up!
ReplyDeletewho does that yellow bus belong too??
ReplyDeleteIts the 810 Poynton - Marple school bus run by Belle Vue i think. I think its either an Optare like the ones speedwell have or a Prisma not sure.
