Perfect day

It might be cold and wet but today is going well. I'm on the 330s which apart from more roadworks at gee cross are pretty simple today. The morning made better by having one of the tridents. Later is a couple of trips on the 7s so i also avoid the football traffic. And then tonight i might pop out for a few beers as i am off tomorrow. Happy days.

  1. Back in Spain.

You are welcome to the weather back there and the loonatic drivers.....heavy rain and spray, no lights and tailgating, especially on the motorways.

  2. ah the Tridents...love em. Btw I heard that you had a London Stagecoach transfered from Barking (east london) to a manchester based fleet (Hyde rd or ashton)....is this true because I worked in Barking garage and this would surprise me??? considering its ran by a bank now

  4. Santandar i believe bought our london business i believe. There was talk of manchester being sold too so mr s could go more into trains instead but we will see. I not seen a new trident knocking about but it will take some converting if we did to remove the second door and install digital blinds too.

  5. No, it's owned by the Aussie Maquarie Bank, not Banco Santander.

Strange you mention that, as Portillo, the local operator in Southern Spain is now owned by the Avenza Group, which in turn is British owned.

  6. I was about to say macquarie, its an Austrian bank that has been developing new transport companies in Europe, most recently England. I was also aware about the conversion but apparently, this was done because Stagecoach just wanted to keep as many buses as possible. I think the bus taken was a W-reg Trident which looks brand new inside...
