Nice treat.

Been on the 216s this afternoon. Not to bad today. Leading upto peak time we get extra time at each end to make sure the buses get out as they should. Today i got this 59 plate enviro from stockport. I don't know why we have it. We seem to have a few loan buses at the moment. I can only guess the paint shop is doing extra work whist the kids are off. Nice drive this once it gets going. Although i can probably set off quicker on my mountain bike. On a late tomorrow not looked what it's on yet.

  1. The MAN engined Enviros are very sluggish compared to the older type Enviro's.
Stockport can keep these ones lol.

  7. 192 route branding is getting about abit at the mo, spotted one of Stockport's 19300s branded up for 192 out on Princess Road 101 Piccadilly-Wythenshawe route the other day.

As for 19624 being loaned to Ashton Depot, its not the first time recently this has happened as a couple of weeks ago I spotted an Ashton Driver driving one of the 19500s on 216 and was wondering whether either the bus was loaned to Ashton Depot or whether the driver had been loaned out to Hyde Road

  8. The 216 and Stagecoach are the main story in the MEN on line this morning, as one driver stopped a mother breast feedingin Ancoats.

An investigation is ongoing. Someone is for the high jump!

Just read it , The M.E.N just hate private bus companies. I find it hard to believe that any Stagecoach Driver would do that , but you just dont know .
And then it states a lady on the phone said to her "Well you shouldn't be doing it on a bus should you" I find that very hard to believe !

  10. The MEN hate us. i have been asked to do interviews by them on a number of occasions. Thought better of it.

  11. I cannot comment on it and i encourage anyone who reads this that i work with not to either. It would be interesting to hear others views on it though as all the comments on the MEN web site make us all out to be villains who should all be shot.

Nothing to do with Guardian Media group: MEN was sold by Guardian to Trinity Mirror group in February as part of its regional media business for a total consideration of £44.8 million, http://www.journalism.co.uk/2/articles/537511.php

  16. The 216 was redirected over Ashton Moss for part of the day , due to roadworks outside the police station , reducing the road to one lane, and causing chaos. as i took my first 216 around 4 pm , a call came over the radio stating to go back to the normal route , and it was indeed clear on my return to Ashton!
