A bit far

Waiting for my 347 today. I noticed this jpt bus needing some water with a service vehicle arriving to put some in. Years ago we put our own water in but this was stopped by unions sticking there noses in, and now we have to call an enginner out to come and do it. I would have thought Jpt however being a relatively small company wouldn't have the same practice when it means an engineer has to come all the way from middleton to ashton just to put some water in a bus. Especially when this bus is parked next to the station water point! Makes it worse to think the 335 might have to miss a trip because of something so simple. And being an hourly service makes it more painful for the passengers.

  2. Modern cooling systems require specialist knowledge and training to be correctly charged with coolant.

You can't just have any old bloke with a galvanized iron watering can poking around filler caps now can you.

I'm glad proper procedure was carried out, This way proper passenger safety can be assured.
    Remember, safety is job one!

Why then, don't bus companies train their drivers on how to do it "properly", then we wouldn't have these ludicrous situations keep happening?

  4. This is the point, We used to do it ourselves until the good ole unions decided it was not "our Job" making hard work for everyone.

I don't think I'd like to take my Subaru Outback to have the rad topped up.@$80 an hour.
Anyway the person with the special knowledge shouldn't have let the bus on the road in the first place!!!
