Where am i

This one is a joke. Not literally but for an a road this is ridiculous. For some reason a heavy snow fall that lasted only an hour has brought a standstill to the region. An example is a 347 taking almost 3 hours to do a trip around haughton green. A 45 minute gap between 216s and it took me 2 and a half hours to got from glossop market hall to ashton. This picture is mottram road on the way to stalybridge. The 346 is not running the 389 217 218 and 345 are only just surviving with a reduced route and everyone is moaning lol. Anyway is was supposed to finish work at 1220 and i finished at 1355 so i'm going for a few beers to cheer the day up lol

  2. I travelled down to Manchester and must say that, if anything, the roads between Ashton and Manchester are even worse than those up towards Glossop, seemingly because Ashton council takes its responsibility to grit the roads a little more seriously than Manchester.

Anyway, good to see the Stagecoach inspectors in Ashton looking after passengers for once and taking to task the driver of the 15.21 Ashton-Glossop 236 who couldn't be bothered turning up on time.

  3. The Ashton Inspector Billy craig ( who you might see a lot of) is a star< He is ont he same wavelength and the rest of us and knows how to get stuck in when there is a problem. Today has been a test of everyones patiance and im sure everyone got home in the end safe and well.

  4. Thumbs up to Stagecoach over the last few days. They have put the passengers first and kept services running so that people like me can get home from work , even if it take longer.
Shame some of the other Manchester operators panic at the first sight of snow and withdraw to there depots.
    Well done Stagecoach :)
