Very nice

Took this the other day when i went for a ride into manchester. It's one of the new centreline buses. I believe they are hybrids. I didn't get chance to have a ride but they look very suited in the city. Seem a bit larger than the crappy solos too. On another note. The past few weeks have been a little busy for me. Having always been someone with ambition. I applied for the position of inspector with stagecoach. 80 people applied and went for an aptitude test. From this 14 people got an interview for the 6 positions available. I was very pleased when i came top of the 80 in the test and subsequently have been offered the position which i take up on Monday. This does mean i am leaving Ashton depot and heading back to hyde road on monday morning. I'm not sure how the blog will go but have no plans to abandon it as yet but will have to limit what i do i think. Looking forward to it anyway. It's been a great adventure at ashton and i have made many good friends. I will be sad to leave it behind.

  6. Congratulations on your new job.
Your blog has certianly been interesting reading over the last couple of years, and living in Ashton all my life, its been very enjoyable seeing it in a different perspective.
I just hope Hyde Road is as interesting as the sights and Sounds of Tameside.

  9. As I have already said elsewhere, congratulations on your new job as an inspector. Good luck. Hope you will miss relatively quiet Tameside, but you should enjoy the bustling city scene. I hope you do manage to post updates from time to time, letting us know what you've been up to in your new role. It has been very interesting reading this blog, which rightfully won an award a couple of years ago.

  10. Next news, you will have grown a droopy tash and will be found wandering about muttering "I hate you Butler!"

...But well done! Onwards and upwards.

Perhaps Chris ma be able to feed you Ashton tit-bits to post?

I'm over again a week Monday, so will I find you hiding around Piccadilly?

  11. Congratulations on the new job!

I have enjoyed your photos and comments about what you see as you drive around the Tameside area, so it will be a pity to lose that, but I'm sure you will find another angle to keep us amused!
