Interesting day.
Had a good day yesterday. The 216 ran like it should once again, with nothing failing on the service. It's nice to see it working so well. The only drama from the day was this Stotts bus having an altercation with a car doing a u-turn in the middle of Wellington road? Yes a u-turn. And this little ex stagecoach, speedwell thing breaking down. I found the two breakdown trucks a little unnecessary though for such a small bus. Oh and a 409 with a drunk that was dart asleep. That was more a comedy moment as the chain of command escalated the issue over the period of 30 minutes. Back here today so hoping for a similar easy day.

Im not surprised regarding the Stott's bus. Some of there younger drivers drive like idiots and i have seen the daft u -turn the driver does every night outside the bus station. Its dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThe stotts bus did nothing wrong. the car did a uturn in front of the 41 so on this occasion it was the car drivers fault.
ReplyDeletespeedwells NKH broke down again tonight near Hey Farm
ReplyDeleteSeems that Speedwell need to sort their buses out, they're always breaking down. One of their KNV Darts broke down doing a 394 down Brabyn's Brow, Marple on Friday. There's always something of theirs giving up. Even more so than First I would think, at least relative to their respective fleet sizes.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd truck is so all the parts that fall off while it's under tow can be collected !
ReplyDeletewell came out of Mossley train stn tonight and got on the 343 which was solo MX 06 ABU took me by suprise Enviro NKG as far as I know as never broke down since speedwell got it
ReplyDeleteFirst Ashton now have 4 54 reg solos not been on one yet
