The vision

This is the vision that was the Metrolink. It's interesting to see the design of the tram on the leaflet compared with how it actually turned out.
This next leaflet is the introduction of the 757 Airport shuttle from Piccadilly. I remember this very well from my youth, as  i would often jump on this bus whilst out on my bus rides to get to the airport quicker.The seats were like the normal express seats downstairs but blue and had a larger luggage area.

    I read that stagecoach has won the school service 700 from speedwell running from Charesworth to Oldham and the return to active service a bus you rated as very good
    Will the service come to Ashton depot?

    I didnt know Speedwell ran this school? And not heard anything about it to be honest. I'm guessing its a Derbyshire school as the TfGM website doesnt list it?

    Ive also heard that Derbyshire may withdraw the Glossopdale College school buses From April 2012 which are run by Speedwell buses too. Derbyshire are making travel a lot harder these days.

    Derbyshire are probaly proceeding the withdrawal of the 397 Glossop - Hyde (Via Hadfield & Tintwistle) from End of next month (30th October)causing an increase in travel break-ups.

    700 was (last yr ) run by speedwell from glossop / hadfield / charlesworth by an merc beaver to bluecoats at oldham but was thwarted with reliablity with in the morning running early and at night being up to 45min (because the driver had 20mins from ashton to bluecoats before and after his next journey) late it is run by bluecoats and dcc and would not be found in any part of tfgm website and it is true benzo most of the school buses are little used with the location of the lower school most people walk from the surrounding areas i beleive there will still be one from glossop tc to hadfield in the am and pm though it is one way of saving money for dcc they might not axe another needed bus service from glossop

    just to let you know 700 is still run by speedwell took a photo on my phone which is on my fb page. but they are still running it this week

    found out today 20982 that has been freshly painted is to take over the 700 with effect from 6th october so this explains the query about it so speedwell lose another route but not a suprise really
