It's a glorious day in manchester this morning. Lots of people in Piccadilly gardens and buses running well. However i'd much rather be at Ashton today. It's the stagecoach manchester, driver of the year finals. So no pictures of that today. Instead a lovely view of the fountain in the gardens. Finish at 4 so i'll get some sunbathing in before the end of the day.
I saw 22167 on the 236/7 - another bus that has appeared by surprise. anyone knows whats going on?
ReplyDeleteThink 22094 has dissapeared for sure now, has anyone seen it?
The heating was on in the bus (MAN bus) when it is around 24.C outside, everyone is sweltering!
I read the 236/7 termius is to move to Old Glossop where about will the termius be. will any other service serve the royal oak
ReplyDeleteI saw a few GMPTE data collection people around on the 236/7 buses most recently - could that be the case?
ReplyDeletethere is a dedicated bus terminus/turning circle in old glossop here... http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=old+glossop&hl=en&ll=53.45011,-1.932929&spn=0,0.021136&safe=off&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=53.450247,-1.932762&panoid=cZ-z5kzzROXlSJSFeWC85A&cbp=12,53.33,,0,11.7
ReplyDeleteit was once a popular service terminus, but hasn't been used for about 10 years now. historically the 236/7 has always terminated at the royal oak, but in recent years it has become less and less practical to turn a bus there (i know from experience!) the only regular service that passes near the royal oak is the hourly 393
I would suggest the 390 going up to the Royal oak but doubt that would happen.
ReplyDelete22160/67 are on the fleetlist again replacing 22105/20
