Something fun
I'm just sat in Ashton bus station waiting to do my last 216. Have done a late shift driving today for a change as overtime. It's been a real nice change. I do like my job now but miss driving so much so it's nice to still get the chance now and again. My phone has been for a repair too so not had chance to blog much but not much been happening anyway. Back to the day job in Ashton bus station wednesday. Just hope the half term improves the traffic problems we have been seeing everywhere. We get it bad on the new road but i believe first are suffering with the roadworks on oldham road too. I keep seeing 3 and 4 409s coming in at once. We will see. Off to do my last trip of the day. Should be quiet.

There was road works on Oldham road which was disrupting the 409 and 419 services from reaching Ashton on time.
ReplyDeletehow are Ashton new single deck buses settling in they look very smart
ReplyDeleteThey do look the business indeed. Seem to be doing ok. Hybrids next at some point in the future i believe.
ReplyDeleteAshton have got older mans from Stockport been 22105/20/31/81/84/5/6/9 22165 remains
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that 19339 appears to be at Ashton. Is this the start of better things at Ashton, what with the Enviro200s now in service and the believed future hybrids?
ReplyDeleteWhy is Ashton getting more MANs now? Surely we should be getting shot of them. Send them to Yorkshire, Scotland, the South etc etc!!!
Ashton still have tenders that have specific requirements. The 222** buses are different to the 221** man buses. So thats why the 222**s have been replaced with 221**.
ReplyDelete19339 is a Stockport replacement due to a breakdown last week on a 330 at Stockport. Wont be staying.
Whats happened to the X reg MANS? (22231 to 22246). Not seen single one since.
ReplyDeleteOnly seen 22094 and older MANS around.

ReplyDelete40879 is also at First Ashton they have come from Halifax after Bul val buses ceased trading these 4 have replaced 40308/9/10/40434 which have gone to Oldham
not sure if any more yet but given a guess I think they would be 41278/79/81 as these have been reapainted at Yorkshire and 42179 is of the road at Halifax I think they would replace 40433/35/36 but only time will tell
I saw a enviro 200 on the 236 service today Saturday will they cope on that service as they are smaller seaters
