The future?

This is something different, Noticed this 219 yesterday with a bit of sparkle on the advert that is on the side. Its got little sparkly leds built into it which is somehow wired into the bus electrics. The advert is for the Trafford centre. I only saw it in the daytime but i bet it looks better at night.
Had a little browse at the service changes which are taking place in January yesterday. Some interesting ones such as 216s being extended to Stamford Park! Will wait till i get the full list before going into it.Off into Piccadilly today again on whats looking like a really poor weather day :(

  2. I hear a few first thing in the morning will start straight from the depot, instead of whizzing past the passengers at the stop on the corner, good idea me thinks.

  3. So its simply to cut out dead running between depot and Ashton.
Ive asked several times why the eary 236's start from Stalybride and not Ashton [esp at weekends], its surprising how many people use the early bus and have to walk to Stalybridge to catch it, Stagecoach have hinted that they will start from the depot and not Stalybridge but its still a hell of a walk!

  4. If there are people wanting the earlier bus in ashton then i have no doubt if they emailed in, t would start at ashton. Until Glossop depot shut and the route was transfered there journeys were not running at all. If now there is people wanting them from ashton they really need to get in touch.

  5. Stagecoaches response has always been the same, they will happily allow drivers to pick us up if we wait at the traffic lights but they won't extend to Ashton, yet once you have made the long walk to the lights, your virtually in Stalybridge.

No ones asking them to run extra journeys, just extend them into Ashton.
