Brilliant

Just on my first tram journey from Oldham to Manchester. Must say its been worth the wait. Will be a lot better when the tram runs through the town centre but for the time being it will do. Never knew there was a station on block lane or at drury lane in chadderton. Off until Wednesday so heading out for a few beers.

The station on Drury Lane (should actually be Coalshaw Green Road) at the back of Coalshaw Green Park is called South Chadderton and is my local station and is well worth getting off at for a nice stroll round the park and also there's a cheap cafe aswell.

I must say I've used the tram a number of times since the Oldham Line opened as now I've got an alternative to the bus from Manchester to Chadderton, I know the tram involves a bit of a walk from South Chadderton Station but it saves waiting for a bus in Manchester also the tram is more frequent than the bus as my bus home at the moment is every 30mins (181) whereas the tram runs about every 12mins or better.

Also from what I've heard and read the next line to open will be the East Manchester line as far as Droylsden and testing has already started on this line albait overnight with 2 trams stabled near Ethihad Stadium when not in use, I think the idea is they want it open in time for the when the football season starts in September
