My original 5 trips on a 347 has Been thrown into turmoil. I did 2 trips. Now i have been sent empty to piccadilly to cover a missing 218 at 1824 happy days, i was going dizzy already. This route is tendered so needs to run. Unfortunately the 347 wasn't so it has to suffer on this occasion. I'm just waiting my time out in stevenson square like this bluebird driver is doing.
What's the difference between a tendered and non-tendered route?
ReplyDeleteI Tendered route is one that the PTE give us money to run because they might now take enough money commercially to run it. We get fined if they are found to now run at anytime. I think about £1000 from what i heard last. So its easier to drop a Non- Tendered service. Less hassle.
ReplyDeleteI think the word "now" that appears twice in your answer should have been "not"! The joys of predictive texting!
ReplyDeleteFrom the passenger's point of view... the 218 runs hourly so a missing bus makes a huge difference to someone waiting for it, whereas the 347 runs every 10 minutes so not such a problem if one is missing (although it might affect more people),
Yip. Predictive text is a pain sometimes.
